More reliable mail sync, richer composing, and continued improvements across iPhone and iPad
This release includes a substantial upgrade to Polymail's synchronization foundation, along with new composer capabilities and fixes based directly on customer feedback.
🔄 More reliable mail synchronization
We've significantly strengthened the way Polymail keeps your mail and activity up to date.
Syncing now handles initialization, ongoing updates, pagination, retries, and recovery more consistently across the app. This addresses several situations where an account could stop receiving updates until a manual Re-Sync.
You should see improvements including:
- More reliable Activity Feed updates
- More consistent unread status
- Fewer cases of deleted or older messages incorrectly appearing in the Inbox
- Better recovery from temporary provider or network errors
- More reliable synchronization for larger accounts
These changes also provide a stronger foundation for keeping threads, contacts, drafts, templates, and other account data synchronized consistently.
✍️ More capable composing
The new iOS composer continues to move closer to the Web and Desktop experience.
- @mentions for referencing contacts while composing
- Code blocks for technical content
- Smarter link pasting with Preview, Link, and Plain Text options
- Resizable inline images
- More comfortable default spacing between your message and signature
- Faster Send Later and Read Later entry with times such as
930or1338
📷 Better image and attachment workflows
Large photos can now be resized before sending, helping reduce message size without requiring you to edit the image separately.
Attachments are also easier to find: messages with attachments now provide access from the message header, so you don't need to scroll through a long email just to reach a file.
📅 Calendar and interface improvements
- Improved calendar event formatting and details
- Interface accent colors now carry across to iOS
- Improved logout messaging when intentionally signing out across devices
📬 Inbox and thread refinements
We've also addressed several customer-reported issues:
- Fixed cases where unread messages could unexpectedly appear as read
- Block Sender now targets the sender of the selected message rather than another participant in the thread
- Multi-message conversations now open at the latest message
- Fixed navigation issues that could leave iPad users stuck in Search
- Improved Activity Feed ordering and delivery
⚡ Stability improvements
This release includes additional crash and reliability fixes, including an issue that could cause the app to close while forwarding messages with multiple attachments.
Thank you for continuing to share detailed feedback with us. This release puts particular emphasis on making Polymail's underlying synchronization more resilient, so your Inbox and Activity Feed remain current without requiring manual intervention.
